"Aircraft Engine in color" is a full color version of my photograph "Aircraft Engine".
The photograph shows an enine from the early days of flight. It is a Wright Cyclone 1831 air-cooled radial reciprocating piston aircraft engine with a Hamilton propeller and propeller dome as used on Douglas DC-3 aircraft. The artifact is one of the many beautifully maintained memorabilia displayed at the Delta Flight Museum in Atlanta, Georgia.
This image brings out the craftsmanship, care, and indeed love, that underpins the technology of flight.
This image is especially impressive with its fine detail when produced as a metal or as an acrylic print.
